**U2 Announces First UK Stadium Performances in a Decade: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour**
U2 has revealed plans for their first stadium performances in the UK in ten years, as part of The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour. The band will perform two nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 18 and 19, 2027, with Wolf Alice as the opening act. The last time U2 performed in London was in October 2018 at The O2 during their eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE tour, which also included stops in Manchester and Belfast. Their last UK stadium shows took place in July 2017, celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree with two nights at Twickenham.
This announcement coincides with U2's 50th anniversary celebrations. The European segment of the tour will kick off in Stockholm on April 26, featuring additional performances in cities such as Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Milan. Fans can also look forward to new music, as the band's 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, is set to be released on November 13, 2026. This album will include collaborations with notable artists like Brian Eno, Martin Garrix, and Dolly Parton. The 12-track album is produced by Jacknife Lee and follows the surprise EPs released earlier this year, titled Days of Ash and Easter Lily. The latest single, "The Greatest Show On Earth," is accompanied by a visually captivating video created by longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn.
The tour takes its name from this new single, and U2 has promised a setlist that spans their entire career for the UK stadium shows next year. Tickets for the UK and European performances will initially be available through U2.com, with a presale for subscribers starting on November 2 at 10 AM. An artist presale will follow on November 5, running from 10 AM to 10 PM local time. Fans will be able to purchase up to four tickets per show during the presale, and it is recommended that they sign up on the U2 page on Ticketmaster for early access.
In conclusion, U2's upcoming tour and new album mark significant milestones for the band, offering fans exciting opportunities to experience their music live and enjoy fresh material.
